What are the things to do while staying in Adelaide?

Myself and my family are travelling to Adelaide for a week and would like to know some of the best things to see and do within the city and surrounding suburbs. We will be hiring a car whilst we are there so any places or activities that are within easy driving distance of the Adelaide CBD will also be much appreciated.

The last time our family visited Adelaide we spent a day at the Glenelg beach, went shopping in Rundle Mall, walked around the botanic gardens and then visited the nearby Adelaide Zoo and National Wine Centre of Australia. I'm sure that there are lots more things to do other than these, but we only had 2 days to spare.
